The present invention relates to a device for operating the electronic transmission of a vehicle and, more specifically, to a device for operating the electronic transmission of a vehicle using a shift-by-wire method without a mechanical connection for transmitting an operating force between a transmission and a device for operating the transmission. To achieve this, the present invention enables users to intuitively operate the transmission based on experience by providing the same shift pattern as an existing shift pattern; and provides a shift pattern to maximize space utilization by reducing the number of shift locks and to supplement the spatial weakness of an existing shift pattern which has a plurality of shift locks.
