The present invention relates to a charging apparatus of a raw material and a charging method thereof. The charging apparatus of a raw material comprises: a raw material supply part for supplying a raw material; and a charging chute where a transfer path of the material is formed by arranging multiple rolls in parallel for transmitting a raw material supplied form the raw material supply part to a reservoir. A part of the multiple rolls includes a magnetic roll with magnetic properties. The magnetic roll comprises a fixed roll which does not rotate; a rotating roll which rotates along an outer circumference surface of the fixed roll while surrounding an outside of the fixed roll; and a magnetic substance arranged in a part of the fixed roll. Therefore, segregation efficiency can be improved by effectively sorting a magnetic material from a raw material.
