The present invention relates a fireproof insulation material for a fire door and a manufacturing method thereof. A mixture where expanded Vermiculite 25-40 wt%, unexpanded Vermiculite 5-10 wt%, porous silica powder 3-10 wt%, IR opaque material 5-10 wt%, silicate of soda 20-50 wt%, and fast-hardened cement 10-12 wt% are mixed is molded through heat-pressing and naturally dried to achieve a fireproof insulation material. By doing so, the overall molding process can be performed at lost costs. By using the expanded Vermiculite with excellent insulation and fire proof properties thanks to many pores as a basis, airtightness is maintained through the expansion of rough Vermiculite by heat in case of a fire, and the porous silica powder blocks the convection current of air in a gap of the expanded Vermiculite. As a result, the thermal barrier property and the fire proof property necessary for a fire door are met. |
