The present invention relates to a polyester film and a release film using thereof. More specifically the present invention relates to: a polyester film which is for a base film of a release film suitable for producing a green sheet for a multi-layer ceramic capacitor (MLCC), has excellent rolling properties and releasing properties, remarkably controls the generation of pin-holes on a ceramic slurry layer when ceramic slurry is coated on the release film, and has improve flatness; and the release film using thereof.
