The present invention relating to an alternating current electric railroad power system comprises: a Scott transformer for receiving a three phase electric power and outputting an M phase and a T phase electric power; a first converter for converting the M phase electric power, outputted from the Scott transformer, into a direct current electric power, and outputting the converted power; a second converter for converting the T phase electric power, outputted from the Scott transformer, into a direct current electric power, and outputting the converted power; and an inverter for converting the direct current electric power, outputted from the first converter and the second converter, into the alternating current electric power and supplying the alternating current electric power for an electric car line. The present invention increases the efficiency in operating the train by making an electric railroad substation supply the voltage of the same phase for the electric car line and eliminating an insulation section, reduces maintenance costs by reducing a wear on the electric car line, prevents overvoltage from occurring at the power system, enhances the quality of power supplied for the train by solving an imbalance of the Scott transformer, and increases the usage efficiency of electricity and electricity production in a user's home.
