ALUMINUM ALLOY PLATE WITH EXCELLENT FORMABILITY AND WELDABILITY FOR CELL CASE

There is provided a 1000-series aluminum alloy plate having high strength suitable for use in a large lithium-ion cell container and demonstrating excellent formability and laser weldability. The aluminum alloy plate contains 0.01-0.4 mass% of Si, 0.01-0.5 mass% of Fe, and 0.003-0.5 mass% of Co, the remainder consisting of Al and unavoidable impurities, and has a metal structure in which the number of second phase particles having a circular equivalent diameter of 3 µm or greater is less than 100 particles per mm2. A cold-rolled annealed plate of the aluminum alloy exhibits an elongation value of 30% or greater.
