The present invention relates to an apparatus for collecting food refuse, capable of reducing the manufacturing cost and minimizing the failure of the apparatus by introducing a chip so that all operating processes to collect refuse are performed by the elasticity of a spring. The present invention includes an operating unit having a door and a chip introducing port, and a support unit coupled with a lower portion of the operating unit and including a refuse collecting container and a pedal. The operating unit includes a housing having an open front surface so that the bucket may be inserted therein through the door open by the chip inserted into the chip introducing port, and a rotational shat coupled with the housing to rotate as the pedal is pressed, thereby rotating the housing and the bucket to drop the food refuse into the refuse collecting container. A hinge part is coupled with the support unit, and the operating unit is coupled with the hinge part, so that the operating unit is pivoted back and forth. Therefore, the present invention has an effect that a fee is charged in the unit of volume of the food refuse regardless of the weight of the food refuse by using the chip that is previously bought, thereby inducing a user spontaneously to reduce the food refuse. In addition, all operating processes of collecting the food refuse are performed by the elasticity of the spring, so that the manufacturing cost is reduced. Power and fuel are not required, so that an eco-friendly product is provided. Parts are simplified, so that the failure of the apparatus is minimized. |
