The present invention relates to a digital optical relay system capable of relaying downstream signals and upstream signals between a base station and a terminal. A main hub unit of a digital optical relay system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: at least one converter for converting a digital downstream signal inputted from a downstream ADC into an rearranged downstream signal; a framer for converting the rearranged downstream signal into a downstream optical signal and transmitting the downstream optical signal to a first optical module connected to an optical cable; a de-framer for reversely converting an upstream optical signal, inputted from the first optical module, into an rearranged upstream signal; and at least one reverse converter for reversely converting the rearranged upstream signal into a digital upstream signal and transmitting the digital upstream signal to an upstream DAC, wherein at least one converter converts the digital downstream signal so as to perform frequency shifting of all of adjacently distributed downstream band signals when at least one of a plurality of downstream band signals included in the digital downstream signal on the spectrum is distributed to be space apart from the downstream band signals, wherein at least one reverse converter converts the rearranged upstream signal so as to perform frequency shifting of at least one of upstream band signals distributed to be spaced apart from the upstream band signals when all of a plurality of upstream band signals included in the rearranged upstream signal on the spectrum is adjacently distributed.
