Disclosed are a user-customized book clinic system and method for determining an object user based on reading ability and reading tendency of users and providing an appropriate book list to the object user according to the age of the object user and clinic type (additionally based on recommended book information). According to the present invention, books by category are classified according to reading ability and reading tendency, stored and managed by a database management system (DBMS). The system of the present invention receives member information and responses to a survey through a network to determine and analyze the level of a corresponding member, and then stores and manages the member information, reading ability, and reading tendency of the user by the DBMS. The system grasps which member is an object for book clinic among members based on the reading ability and reading tendency information, and generates and provides a first book list composed of books of categories appropriate to the age and clinic type of the object member. Also, the system receives recommended book information on a category recommended for the object member and provides a second book list by reflecting the recommended book information to the first book list.
