A method for testing reliability of LNT(Lean NOx Trap) auto-recognition is provided to determine an error in LNT auto-recognition by checking whether the logic values of auto-recognition input signal, exhaust temperature sensor signal, and lambda sensor signal are the same. A method for testing reliability of LNT auto-recognition is as follows. Auto-recognition input signal, exhaust temperature sensor signal, and lambda sensor signal are converted into respective logical values(S201). It is determined whether the all three logical values altogether are the same(S203). If not, an LNT auto-recognition error is determined(S205). The auto-recognition input signal indicates whether an LNT is mounted on an ECU(Electronic Control Unit). An exhaust temperature sensor is located ahead of the LNT, and a lambda sensor is located behind the LNT. |
