The method for predicting the risk of diabetes mellitus in the patients with active acromegaly comprises the assessment of laboratory findings and anthropometric data. The medical history is also taken into account. The level of somatotropin in blood is assayed. The classifying function is calculated consistent with risk absence or presence. Prognostic decision is taken according to the larger value of function. |
