Disclosed are a user-customized book management system and a user-customized book management method for providing proper book list according to reading capability and reading tendency of a user, and book preference/recommendation information additionally. According to the present invention, the type of each book is classified according to reading capability and reading tendency per field and is stored and managed in a database management system (DBMS). Member information and response result for survey content are inputted through a network and then the level of a corresponding member is diagnosed and analyzed. Member information and reading capability information and reading tendency information of a member are stored and managed in the DBMS. And, after reading type of a corresponding member is grasped on the basis of the reading capability information and reading tendency information, a first book catalog list constituted with books per field appropriate for age and type of the corresponding member is generated and provided. Also, book preference information of a field preferred by the corresponding member or book recommendation information of a field recommended to the corresponding member are inputted, and are reflected to the first book catalog list, and then a second book catalog list is provided.
