The present invention relates to a file sharing method of a peer to peer (P2P) system and a device thereof. The method for sharing files between terminals at a P2P network comprises the step of generating at two fragment files by separating a file allowed to be shared; the step of generating file separation information used for recovering the file allowed for sharing by using the fragment files; and the step of combining each fragment file with the file separation information for transmitting to at least one peer terminal. According to the present invention enables more active file sharing by enabling the files to be automatically transmitted between the terminals without the intervention of a user.
