PURPOSE: To provide a photosensitive resin compsn. for flexographic printing which allows easy kneading at the time of producing plates and has excellent water developability and mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION: This water developable photosensitive resin compsn. consists of (A) a hydrophilic crosslinked particle copolymer, (B) a thermoplastic block copolymer, (C) a basic nitrogen atom-contg. compd., (D) a photopolymerizable unsatd. monomer and (E) a photopolymerization initiator and is 0.1<ηA/ηB<5 andηA>10<4> poises in a shearing rate region of 10<-1> to 10<-4> sec<-1> . The resin compsn. described above satisfies the formula (where,ηA denotes the flow viscosity of the crosslinked particle copolymer at 110 deg.C at the arbitrary shearing rate;ηB denotes the flow viscosity of the thermoplastic block copolymer at 110 deg.C at the same shearing rate asηA,ϕA denotes the volumetric fraction of the crosslinked particle copolymer andϕB denotes the volumetric fraction of the thermoplastic block copolymer). |
