PURPOSE: To surely notify the call request of a caller to the called subscriber and to eliminate the incomplete end of an incoming operation in a portable telephone system of a mobile communication system even though the power supply of a portable telephone set is not applied. CONSTITUTION: An incoming-only portable telephone set lacking a talking function is provided with an incoming detector 1 which detects and receives a call, an incoming information storage 2 which stores the message of the caller when the called subscriber is kept in a busy mode, a transfer device 3 which automatically or manually transfers the call to a main portable telephone set, a transfer destination number storage 4 which stores the transfer destination that is inputted by an input key 6, an incoming display device 5 which notifies the incoming call by a sound, light and vibrations, a display device 7 which shows the functions, an incoming answer device 8 which returns a transfer mode answer to the caller in voices, and a transfer key 9 which transfers the call in a manual setting mode of the device 3. In such a constitution, a compact and light-weight incoming-only portable telephone set is obtained and used together with the main portable telephone set serving as a mobile unit.
