FIELD: transport.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering.. Proposed ledge compromises expanding nose and contracting tail. Tail has contour line in plan with two concave opposite sides. Aerodynamic structure comprises a system of ledges changing the compression shock structure extending from structure surface. Method of aerodynamic structure operation comprises the steps whereat said structure is operated at first mode wherein flow nearby said ledge is, in fact, completely connected and at second mode whereat shock wave is created by aerodynamic structure surface.
