METHOD FOR OPERATION OF THERMOELECTRIC POWER PLANT ON RADIOACTIVELY POLLUTED FIRE-WOOD FUEL

A method for operation of thermoelectric power plant on radiocontaminated fire-wood fuel includes the processes of fuel preparation, production of synthesis-gas, multistage synthesis-gas purification and cooling, production of electric energy and thermal energy by means of combined cycle gas turbine. Control of radioactivity is carried out for raw material, working medium and power plant equipment by means of radioactivity control device. Wastes of synthesis-gas production and purification processes are classified by radiation levels with direction of those for immobilization to storage of radioactive wastes. By the results of control the conclusion is made on need in termination of the equipment of the power plant, with determination of the terms and need in deactivation of the equipment. The invention enables to safely utilize great volumes of contaminated wood with simultaneous production of thermal and electric energy.
