FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of (a) carbonylation of methanol in a carbonylation reactor at temperature from 150 to 250°C in the presence of a catalyst, a catalyst stabiliser, water and methyl iodide to form a reaction mixture containing a catalyst, catalyst stabiliser, acetic acid, methanol, methyl iodide, methyl acetate and water; and (b) feeding the obtained reaction mixture from the carbonylation reactor directly into a distillation column for distillation of the reaction mixture with separation of the bottom stream containing the catalyst and catalyst stabiliser, a side stream containing acetic acid and water, and an overhead stream containing methanol, methyl acetate, methyl iodide and water.EFFECT: method according to the invention excludes use of an instantaneous vaporiser.15 cl, 1 dwg, 1 ex |
