PURPOSE: A pipeline laying vessel is provided to increase the reliability of the pipeline laying work by maintaining constant frictional force of a contact surface between a drum and a pipeline even through foreign materials are stuck on the pipeline. CONSTITUTION: A pipeline laying vessel drops a flexible pipeline (30) after the flexible pipeline is multiply wound on a drum (40) installed in a hull. The pipeline laying vessel comprises a friction pad (60) interposed between the drum and the pipeline. The friction pad is a closed loop. The friction pad is attached to a first portion where the pipeline enters to be wound on the drum, thereby being wound on the drum with the pipeline. The friction pad is separated from the pipeline at a second portion where the pipeline is unwound from the drum. |
