A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel, two polarizing plates, and a backlight unit. A pixel included in the liquid crystal display panel is divided into a first domain and a second domain and includes a second electrode and a third electrode. The third electrode is insulated from the second electrode and arranged to be overlapped. The twist directions of first liquid crystals corresponding to the first domain are different from the twist directions of second liquid crystals corresponding to the second domain. The liquid crystal display device controls a viewing angle by selectively driving the second electrode and the third electrode.
