TRANSMISSION AND DETECTION OF OVERHEAD CHANNELS AND SIGNALS IN WIRELESS NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques for detecting overhead signals including a synchronization signal or a broadcast channel in a wireless network.SOLUTION: When a received signal comprising at least one overhead transmission is obtained from a plurality of base stations, the plurality of base stations comprise at least one interfering base station and at least one desired base station. Interference due to the at least one overhead transmission from the interfering base station is estimated and canceled to detect the at least one overhead transmission from the desired base station on the basis of the interference-canceled signal.
