PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-lamp projection display apparatus and a control device capable of reducing a peak value of unwanted radiation level.SOLUTION: An control device 90 for the multi-lamp projection display apparatus includes: light source drive sections 2 and 3 for driving plural light sources 4 and 5; and an apparatus control section 22 that controls the light source drive sections 2 and 3. The light source drive sections 2 and 3 drive the plural light sources 4 and 5 at a frequency different from each other.
