PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of partially adjusting the stereoscopic effect of an image and a control method therefor.SOLUTION: When the user specifies a position L substantially at center of an illustration G2 with an electronic pen, a control unit determines a rectangular region enclosing the illustration G2 to be an emphasis region E. An image adjustment unit moves a portion included in the emphasis region E of a left-eye image Pl to the right by a designated amount A1 and also moves a portion included in the emphasis region E of a right-eye image Pr to the left by a designated amount A2. As the result of this, the illustration G2 present within the emphasis region E becomes so that the left-eye image (solid line) is positioned to the right of the right-eye image (broken line), and is therefore recognized as appearing in front of other illustrations G1, G3 and G4, whereby the illustration G2 is emphasized. |
