<p>The invention relates to a melt treatment head (29,129,229,329), apparatus (1) and method, particularly but not exclusively for the treatment of molten metals, such as aluminium. The head is for a rotary degassing apparatus (1), and is adapted to introduce a gas to clean the melt (33), and also to carry a solid to clean and/or modify or grain refine the melt.
