PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary the capacity of compressed fluid with a simple structure, to decrease size and weight, and to reduce a manufacturing cost, in a scroll type compressor.SOLUTION: A scroll type compressor 10 includes a fixed scroll 16 equipped with a fixed side spiral wall 22 having a first stepped portion 48; and a moving scroll 18 having a moving side spiral wall 52 engaged with the fixed side spiral wall 22 and having a second stepped portion 68. On a fixed side substrate portion 20 of the fixed scroll 16, first and second bypass holes 38 and 40 communicating with an annular and single gas compression chamber 70 formed between the fixed side spiral wall 22 and the moving side spiral wall 52 are formed when the moving scroll 18 swivels. The first and second bypass holes 38 and 40 communicate with a suction port 15 to which gas such as a coolant is supplied, and selectively supply the gas to the gas compression chamber 70. |
