PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device and an image formation device which allow accessory components to be stored in their accommodation spaces under stable condition, making these devices highly convenient.SOLUTION: A multifunction machine 1 in an embodiment 1 comprises a device body 1A, a document cover 3, and a media tray 13. The document cover 3 is attached to the device body 1A so as to be able to fluctuate and changes its place to a first and a second position. The rear end of the document cover 3 is provided with a plurality of contact portions 14, and a pressing member 15 is attached thereto. The pressing member 15 changes its place to a third position by dead weight when the document cover 3 changes its place to the second position. At the rear end of the pressing member 15 are formed protrusions 23A and 23B protruding toward the document cover 3 side. An accommodation space 29 capable of housing the media tray 13 therein is formed between the document cover and the pressing member 15. In the multifunction machine 1, the rear end of the media tray 13 housed in the accommodation space 29 is guided along the protrusions 23A and 23B as the media tray is led to the contact portions 14. |
