PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mutual authentication system which performs highly accurate authentication.SOLUTION: A mutual authentication system comprises: a mobile terminal 101 which is connected with a portable phone 102 having a GPS function, and comprises a position information authentication function unit 110 for performing authentication of an authentication device position on the basis of pre-stored position information of an authentication device; and the authentication device 105 which is installed in a data provision server, and comprises a position information authentication function unit 106 for performing authentication of a mobile terminal position on the basis of position information from the mobile terminal and authorization position information of the mobile terminal pre-stored in a mobile terminal database 107. The authentication device 105 extracts the authorization position information from the mobile terminal database 107 by using a mobile terminal unique apparatus number received from the mobile terminal 101 as a key, and performs authentication of the mobile terminal position on the basis of the extracted authorization position information and the received terminal position information, and also, the mobile terminal 101 performs authentication on the basis of the position information from the authentication device 105 and the pre-stored authentication device position information. |
