PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a windproof knitted fabric from which clothing having a soft feel and comfortable when worn can be produced, and which is increased in knitted fabric density and is provided with windproof and waterproof functions to be formed into highly functional clothing having waterproof, windproof and dustproof functions, thereby being increased in economic value.SOLUTION: In a method for producing a windproof knitted fabric and a composition of the same of the present invention, a yarn which is obtained by blending fibers mainly different in shrinkage and has an intermediate shrinkage between the two shrinkages thereof is knitted in a high knitting density into a structure such as a single layer or double layer structure, or a circular rib structure or a fleece structure. A loop length of the windproof knitted fabric knitted thereby shrinks appropriately under the high knitting density. The windproof knitted fabric is knitted under a condition in which a constant difference is given between a yarn feeding speed and a knitting speed to form a comfortable feel rich in flexibility and elasticity resulting from the knitting method, in the windproof knitted fabric. In addition, the windproof knitted fabric of the present invention is provided with a waterproof effect so as to be formed into a fabric suitable for functional clothing, thereby being increased in economic value. |
