A switching power source device which transitions to an off mode when an electronic device is in a standby state comprises an off mode delay circuit (200) for delaying the transition to the off mode, and an electricity storage unit (500) and power supply circuit (400) serving as power supply sources for off mode control. Thereby, the power consumption may be reduced substantially to zero, while the switching power source device may be started even when no electric charge remains in an electricity storage component such as a primary battery or secondary battery. |
