GAMMA VOLTAGE GENERATION DEVICE AND METHOD

A gamma voltage generation device comprises: a gamma reference voltage generation unit (21) for providing a gamma reference voltage for a gamma voltage generation unit (23); and a polarity turnover signal generation unit (22) used for providing a polarity turnover signal for the gamma voltage generation unit (23). The gamma voltage generation unit (23) comprises a gamma reference voltage selection module and a voltage division module. The gamma reference voltage selection module sets a common electrode voltage as 0, and turns over the polarity of the gamma reference voltage at an odd frame and an even frame under the control of the polarity turnover signal. The voltage division module adopts the same set of voltage division resistors to conduct voltage division on the gamma reference voltage from the gamma reference voltage selection module at the odd frame and the even frame to generate a gamma voltage. Only needing to use one set of voltage division resistors, the present invention can generate a gamma voltage, and can omit an input multiplexer and an output multiplexer.
