Disclosed is a semiconductor device including an ECC circuit, capable of improving error correction performance. The semiconductor device according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a memory area which includes a plurality of banks and a redundancy area at each bank and an ECC area which corrects the defect of the memory area by detecting an error address in the memory area and replacing the error address with a redundancy line in the redundancy area using information about the corresponding address.
