A HYDROFOIL FOR WATER-BORNE VESSELS

A hydrofoil(100) for a waterborne vessel is provided with a trailing edge(20) which is reduced of a negative effect of vortex formation and/or a negative effect of Karman vortex street from the rear side of the hydrofoil to the direction of flow. Especially for providing a rudder, a protruded object(30) is arranged on the trailing edge(20) in order to reduce the vortex formation.
