PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device capable of nipping recording paper which is in contact with a pair of conveyance rollers without adversely affecting the device by the drive of other mechanisms in the device.SOLUTION: An image recording device includes: a port switching mechanism 59 which is switchable to a first state where ink is sucked by a pump 54 as drive is transmitted, and to a second state where the ink is not sucked by the pump 54 even though drive is transmitted; a drive transmission mechanism which transmits the drive of a prescribed rotation direction of a drive force to a first conveyance roller 60 and the pump 54, and transmits drive of a reverse direction to the first conveyance roller 60 and the port switching mechanism 59; and a control part 130. The control part 130, on condition that recording paper is detected to be placed in a manual feed tray 20, switches the port switching mechanism 59 to the second state by driving the drive source in the reverse direction, and then has the recording paper nipped between the first conveyance roller 60 and a pinch roller 61 by driving the drive source in the prescribed rotation direction. |
