摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement precise working such as grading a crowning surface along a circumferential direction, according to a simple method.SOLUTION: In a bearing metal 32, protrusions are provided along the circumferential direction in both end portions in a width direction, the protrusion being thicker than a central portion in the width direction and having fixed thickness. The bearing metal 32 is set on a jig body 23 which includes an inner peripheral surface in contact with an outer peripheral surface of the protrusion and supports the outer peripheral surface of the protrusion. Both end faces of the bearing metal in the circumferential direction are pressed downwards in such a manner that a downward pressing force F is applied with predetermined power. While downwardly pressing both the end faces of the bearing metal in the circumferential direction, machining is implemented along the circumferential direction in such a manner that an inner peripheral surface of the bearing metal becomes linear in the width direction. Thereafter, the bearing metal is removed from the jig body, and machining is implemented along the circumferential direction in such a manner that the outer peripheral surface of the protrusion and an outer peripheral surface of the central portion of the bearing metal in the width direction become linear in the width direction.
