Message interoperability between platforms

A method and system for assessing message interoperability between a first platform (102A) and a second platform (102B) communicating over a Tactical Data Link (TDL) (104). The method includes obtaining (204) first platform model data representing platform- specific message transmit/receive information overthe TDL for the first platform and obtaining (204) second platform model data representing platform- specific message transmit/receive information over the TDL for the second platform. The first platform model data and the second model platform model data are used (206) to assess message interoperability between the first platform and the second platform. Preferably a model comprises an executable model or an Exclipse Modeling Framework document.
