PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of appropriate image reproduction even if there is a defect due to a printer.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus which corrects image data for printing comprises: defect image data acquisition means (30) for acquiring defect image data (48) which indicate image information of a printer defect appearing on a printed matter due to a printer; print object image data input means for acquiring print object image data (50) to be printed by the printer (12); defect similar component extraction means (32) for extracting a defect similar component, which is similar to the defect image data (48), from the print object image data (50); and defect similar component subtraction means (34) for subtracting the defect similar component from the print object image data (50).
