PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that enables a three-dimensional (3D) display excellent in display quality.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprises: a first illumination unit that includes a liquid crystal display panel having a first end and a second end and a first light guide plate having a first emergent surface facing the liquid crystal display panel, a first incident surface positioned on a side of the first end, a first rear surface facing the first emergent surface and a first projected part being formed on the first rear surface and having a first inclined surface positioned on the side of the first end and crossing the first rear surface at the acute angle and a second inclined surface positioned on a side of the second end and crossing the first rear surface at the acute angle; and a second illumination unit that includes a second light guide plate having a second emergent surface facing the first light guide plate, a second incident surface positioned on the side of the second end, a second rear surface facing the second emergent surface and a second projected part being formed on the second rear surface and having a third inclined surface positioned on the side of the second end and crossing the second rear surface at the acute angle and a fourth inclined surface positioned on the side of the first end and crossing the second rear surface at the acute angle. |
