PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device capable of applying sufficient brake force in a responsive manner at the time of sudden braking, without involving increase in size and cost of the device.SOLUTION: In a brake device, a pilot pressure input port connected to a mechanical pilot pressure generation part (12) is one (21f). The mechanical pilot pressure generation part is configured by having a piston (12c) interlocked with a brake operation member, a cylinder (12a) where the piston slides, a liquid pressure chamber (12d) formed by the piston and the cylinder, a stroke simulator (12e) which is connected to the liquid pressure chamber, and it generates liquid pressure of the liquid pressure chamber as pilot liquid pressure. Between the mechanical pilot pressure generation part (12) and one pilot pressure input port (21f), a pilot pressure control valve (41) to control the flow of brake liquid in-between is provided. |
