PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taking-up method for an optical fiber, capable of preventing taking-up disorder in taking up an optical fiber on a take-up bobbin even if the optical fiber take-up speed varies.SOLUTION: In taking-up an optical fiber 2, when a take-up bobbin 8 is traversed in such a direction that a flange part 17 of a take-up bobbin 8 and the optical fiber 2 approach each other, the time from when the take-up bobbin 8 reaches a reversion command position to reversion is taken as &Dgr;t, and the traverse speed of the take-up bobbin 8 at the reversion command position is taken as V. When the distance L(V) from the proximity position P1 close to the flange part 17 to the winding position of the optical fiber 2 reaches V*&Dgr;t, on recognizing that the take-up bobbin 8 reaches the reversion command position, a reversion command is sent to the take-up bobbin 8 and the traverse direction is reversed. |
