PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an uneven pattern formation sheet by which the uneven pattern formation sheet used as a light diffusion body can be simply manufactured.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an uneven pattern formation sheet 10 comprises: a process of forming a layered sheet by disposing a hard layer 12 made of metal or a metal compound, which has a smooth surface and has thickness of more than 0.01 μm and 0.2 μm or less, on one surface of a base 11 made of resin; and a process of deforming at least the hard layer of the layered sheet so as to fold the hard layer. The hard layer is constituted with the metal or the metal compound.
