PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the operating performance of the immunochemical measuring method for quantification of an amino glycoside antibiotic contained in a biological sample by using a polycarbonic acid polymer as shown by the formula. SOLUTION: An amino glycoside antibiotic contained in a biological sample is sensed and measured immunochemically on uniform system, characterized by the use of a water-soluble polycarbonic acid polymer as shown by the formula where R<1> is H or COOH, R<2> is H or CH3 , and (n) ranges between 25 and 17,400. The soluble polycarbonic acid polymer should have a molecular weight of 1.8-1250kDa. The polycarbonic acid polymer is selected among polyacrylic acid, polymaleic acid, polymethacrylic acid, and copolymer thereof.
