摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce transmission power and radio wave interference and to improve the effective utilization of frequencies by controlling an antenna provided in a base station so as to direct the antenna in a direction giving a higher radio signal level sent from a mobile radio equipment. SOLUTION: A composite antenna 10 provided to a radio base station 1 has two kinds of functions (operations). The one is a function of sending/ receiving a control signal to/from mobile radio equipments 100 (100-1-100-p) in existence in an optional position in a service area under the control at all times and of confirming and tracing the current position of the mobile radio equipments 100, and the other function is a function of using only part of a composite antenna for the communication with an optional mobile radio equipment 100 so as to prevent, radiation of undesired radio waves for the use of the other parts. In order to provide the functions above, the antenna is made up of plural basic antennas each having the identical characteristic so as to be in use through optional combinations under the control of a control section 14, the basic antennas have a narrow beam characteristic as the horizontal planer directivity and a tile angle control circuit 11 controls each tilt angle.
