The method is used for producing a double lens (2) for safety glasses. The double lens (2), comprising two individual lenses (13, 14) that are connected to one another, is integrally injection moulded from a plastic material and immediately ready for use, or immediately ready for an optional additional surface treatment step. During the injection moulding process, a first lens part zone (15) with a first optical function, a second lens part zone (16) with a second optical function different from the first optical function and a lens transition zone (17) between the first and second lens part zones (15, 16) with a continual transition from the first to the second optical function is produced in each individual lens (13, 14), which is associated with a respective eye of the wearer. During the injection moulding process, the double lens (2) is provided with an impact resistance of at least 45 m/s in accordance with the DIN EN 166 standard if the double lens (2) is intended for safety glasses or of at least 120 m/s if the double lens (2) is intended for a full view safety visor with a headband. |
