<p>This disc brake device (1) is configured to include a rotor (4), a carrier (5), a caliper (7), an inner pad (43) and a brake actuating mechanism. The brake actuating mechanism is provided with a base plate (35), a wedge plate (37), and a slide member moving mechanism which moves the wedge plate (37) in the direction perpendicular to a braking surface (4a) while sliding the same in the rotation direction of the rotor. The carrier (5) is provided with an inner rotation direction movement restricting unit (16) which opposes the rotation direction of the base plate (35) and the rotor (4) and which abuts in the rotation direction of the base plate (35) and the rotor (4), restricting movement of the base plate (35) in the rotation direction of the rotor (4). The base plate (35) is held by the caliper (7) so as to be moveable in the direction perpendicular to the braking surface (4a) while still in a state in which movement in the rotation direction of the rotor (4) is restricted by the inner rotation direction movement restricting unit (16).</p> |
