The bag, inflated by a gas-generator, is housed in the outside edge of a seat backrest, the edge being stabilised by a rigid profiled structure for the whole of its length. Seen in the travel direction, one or more arms (5) of the structure (4) fully enclose the bag module (2) on the outside, except for an opening (6) allowing insertion of the bag (7). It can fully encapsulate the bag apart from the opening, which can face forwards. A shutter (10) which can be opened can seal off the opening with the bag in the non-inflated state. |
