PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently develop respective software corresponding to a printer, a copying machine and a facsimile apparatus and to improve productivity as a whole apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes hardware resources and provides user service on image formation processing. A plurality of applications for performing peculiar processing on respective user services can be mounted on the apparatus. The apparatus includes a platform installed between the application and the hardware resource and manages the hardware resource, controls execution, and performs image formation processing and job generation, which at least two of the applications require in common when the user service is provided. The platform includes: common system service which performs management of the hardware resource, and performs control of the execution and the image formation processing; and application service which is provided between the plurality of applications and the common system service and generates a job corresponding to at least the application. |
