PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit integrated with a touch sensor and capable of being reduced in thickness.SOLUTION: A display unit includes: a first substrate 30; a second substrate 41 facing the first substrate 30 and having a touch surface on a side opposite to the side facing the first substrate 30; a display part 48 provided between the first substrate 30 and the second substrate 41; an opening 32 provided on the first substrate 30; an optical sensor 47 provided at a position facing the opening 32 on the second substrate 41; a backlight 20 provided on a side of the first substrate 30 opposite to the side with the display part 48; and a spacer 46 connecting the opening 32 with the optical sensor 47, having light transmissivity and elasticity, and increasing its area in contact with the optical sensor 47 with touch operation to the touch surface. Light from the backlight 20 reaches the optical sensor 47 through the opening 32 and the spacer 46. The amount of light incident to the optical sensor 47 increases as the contact area increases, thereby detecting a touch position. |
