PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to visually recognize success in retransmission of an electronic mail, without requiring user operations.SOLUTION: A portable information terminal 1 comprises: a mail transmission control unit 32 for detecting success in retransmission of an electronic mail; and a notification unit 34 for notifying a user of the success of retransmission by lighting an LED 24 when the mail transmission control unit 32 has detected the success of retransmission.
