PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep restraint force of a pad generated by a plate spring substantially constant regardless of lining wear in an opposed disc brake.SOLUTION: An opposed disc brake DB1 includes a disc rotor 10, a caliper 20, an inner pad 30, an outer pad 40, a plate spring 50, an inner piston 60, an outer piston 70, and the like. The plate spring 50 has engaging parts 53, 54 which engage with a back plate 31 (clip 31B) of the inner pad and a back plate 41 (clip 41B) of the outer pad, respectively, and flat engagement surfaces 53a, 54a extending along and substantially parallel to an axis of a support pin 23 are each formed on the engaging parts 53, 54. The shapes of the back plates (clips) 31(31B), 41(41B) are set such that engagement positions between the engagement surfaces 53a, 54a and the back plates 31(31B), 41(41B) are the same in a rotor axial direction as the center of tilting to the support pin 23 of the back plates 31, 41. |
