PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm unit for exhibiting original performance, even if a user does not particularly understand features of the alarm unit, and for hardly being received influences from oil content, moisture or the like, which are generated inside a kitchen or the like.SOLUTION: An alarm unit comprises: detection means for quantitatively detecting at least one of smoke, specific gas or heat as an object to be detected; an alarm mechanism for operating an alarm on the basis of detection of the smoke, the specific gas or the heat exceeding an alarm level by the detection means; and a stop switch for temporarily stopping operation of the alarm by the alarm mechanism. The alarm unit is configured so that setting of the alarm level is gradually changed, from an initial value to a high alarm level on the basis of depressing operation of the stop switch, and the alarm level is restored to an initial value of the alarm level, on the basis of lapse of a fixed period from the depressing operation of the stop switch or the detection of the smoke, the specific gas or the heat by the detection means which is lower than the initial value. |
